all-ages workshops

Two hours to explore the relationship between dance, mark-making and space. A sensory, collaborative and playful approach. No judgment, no right answer. We move within a horizon of experimentation and wonder. Bodies and pastels as tools to give form to the impossible and the new.

For children 5+, teenagers, adults, and mixed age groups.

=

Cloud

Moving through the sky like flocks, sensing and following the movements of others. Moving through the sky like clouds, suspended and swirling like drops. An enormous paper cloud. Someone on the ground tries to capture its outline.

=

Expansion

Seeds on the ground, closed up, waiting for the sun. Each will find its path, each its mark. From inside to outside, we create spaces to cross.

=

Free the sign

We free the marks, letting them run through space, from wall to wall. A journey through surprises: drawings that stumble, words that startle.

=

Gap

The birth of lines. Each line has a different texture, flow, density. Lines that come to life, take up space: precarious sculptures. Acrobatic lines, jumping from plane to plane. Bodies holding them up.

=

Gesture, sign, movement

“Delicious,” “Shh,” “How boring”: hand gestures turn into marks on paper and then into movement: jumps, twirls, falls. When we bring them back onto paper, will new marks emerge, or the same ones as before?

=

Hula Hoop!

Circles with the body: pirouettes, somersaults. Circles with pastel: on the walls, on the floor. Circles that escape, like streamers. A dizzying party.

=

Landscape

Bodies like islands to circumnavigate, deserts to cross, rivers to wade across. The sound of a waterfall. Pastels in hand, we plunge and draw it out of the wall.

=

Multiverse

The multiverse is not the metaverse, it is here, it is us, in flesh, bones, and colors: panels to create worlds, planes to trace and dance. A multifaceted, not easy, happy party.

=

Stretch and scatter

Bodies stretch, elongate, intertwine. Among tensions, escapes and returns. The wind arrives: it scatters the shapes, chases them. Traces whirl, names disperse into the air.

=

Water

Like ripples on the sea. Moved by the current, we form waves. The wind scatters us in the air. Swirling drops, jumping colors.

Depending on the context, some proposals can take a more installation-based form, with the mark staying visitable after the workshop ends, or a more performative one, open to the gaze of an external audience.
